Archie - Stanwood, USA

Archie - Stanwood, USA

Archie, despite being blind lives as a normal life and charms everyone to death. He was fending for himself on the streets of Istanbul until a kind hearted person spotted him and decided to save him. It's a miracle how he survived on the streets being blind not getting hit by a car.  We found him the best home he could have dreamed of and living the best life in the Washington State area.

Chester - Stanwood, USA

Chester - Stanwood, USA

Chester is one of our three legged boys. He has such a sweet endearing personality. He lost one of his front legs in a hit and run and ended up in an neglectful shelter in Istanbul. He had no chance of ever coming out there. We took him under our care, treated him and found a home in the USA.

Summer - Toronto, Canada

Summer - Toronto, Canada

Summer is having the best life with her adoptive family. She was dumped in a rubbish field in a remote area with no food unless an animal lover takes food once a week or whatever they can scavenge on from the dumping ground. Summer was attacked by larger dogs trying to get some food. She's sustained serious injuries to her face, eye, chin and jaw. She was left untreated for days before a volunteer spotted her condition and took her to the nearest animal hospital for treatment.

Dusty and Dutchess - Boston, USA

Dusty and Dutchess - Boston, USA

We picked Dusty and Dutchess at a busy taxi station in Istanbul as Dusty had some sort of a genetic deformity that meant that she wouldn't have been able to survive long in the streets. Her hind legs are not straight. When we sent someone to pick her up she had a mate, Dutchess who jumped in the carrier with Dusty so we couldn't leave her behind. They got adopted together and now live a pampered life in Boston.

Snow - San Francisco, USA

Snow - San Francisco, USA

Snow was abandoned by his previous owners. He was really struggling to adjust to life on the street and lack of regular food in his belly made him very weak and ill. When we picked him up he was skin and bones and was in a very sorry state.

Arlo - Toronto, Canada

Arlo - Toronto, Canada

We've spotted Arlo wandering in the street suffering from severe mange and dangerously skinny. He was so bad that he had no hair left on him, but somehow he was still fighting to survive. We took Arlo under our wings and nursed him back to good health. We believe he was previously owned, probably used as a guard dog as his ears are cropped and dumped on the streets when he developed mange and owners didn't want to pay for treatment. Ear cropping is common in Turkey unfortunately.

Casper - San Francisco, USA

Casper - San Francisco, USA

Casper came to our care when he was a little kitten when he was no more than 2 months old when on street hanging in the middle of a busy street no mum in sight. He then followed someone into their workplace and sat on the shoes in the porch area for some comfort and warmth. We were asked to take him otherwise he would had to live in cold, hungry and facing all sorts of danger.

Bella was found on the street when she was barely 3 months old with a massive open wound on one of her front legs, swollen so badly she couldn't step on it. We don't know how she sustained that injury. She was also skin and bones, left starving, basically having a tough life all alone until an animal lover spotted her and asked us for help to get her treated.
