Special Conditions: Slight head balance issue

Rescue Date: August 2023

We received a call about a kitten on the street with severe balance issues, unable to stand up or feed herself. In September 2023, we rescued Misty and promptly took her to the vets for a thorough examination and a number of tests to determine the cause of her balance problems.

Misty underwent several tests, and thankfully, we were able to rule out FIP, FIV, and other suspected diseases. The only thing we haven't been able to do is obtain an MRI scan. Unfortunately, the region where she is located lacks both the MRI equipment and the expertise needed for this particular test. The nearest city with MRI capabilities is Istanbul, which is an 11-hour drive away.

However, Misty's balance issues have shown improvement and she can now stand and walk. Though her head still has a slight wobble, it's nothing like when we first found her. When she is ready to be transferred to Istanbul, we will arrange for an MRI scan to help diagnose her condition. For the time being, she is comfortable and content in her temporary home away from the streets.

We are closely monitoring Misty's condition, and when she reaches the age of 6 months, she will be available for adoption in the UK, USA, Europe, and Canada.
