Archie was spotted by a lady at night time as his eyes weren't shining in against lights in the dark. She was curious and decided to check. There he was blind in both eyes on a side of a busy road in Istanbul. It's a miracle he wasn't  run over by passing cars. The kind lady scooped him up and took him to the nearest vet. 

He was seen by an eye specialist to see if anything can be done, but his eyesight was beyond saving. When Archie was ready to be discharged he had nowhere to go and his original rescuer wasn't living in Turkey and couldn't find any foster/home for him. She continued to pay for his boarding at the vets for 5 months, still no place for Archie to go and obviously he couldn't go back to the streets. He was getting depressed in a small cage at the vets. That's when we were asked to help. 
 

Archie is now staying with one of our fosters in Istanbul and loves being in a home environment and affections he is getting. He is so sweet, purring and always wants to sit on your lap. 
 

His adopter should be prepared to ensure that he has the right setting at home for a blind cat to thrive and kept indoors. He would appreciate the company of another cat. Archie requires a lot of human affection; his adopters must shower him with lots of kisses.
